So ein Käfig trägt natürlich enorm zur Versteifung des gesammten Autos bei, was wiederum die Kurvengeschwindigkeiten erhöht.

Gut aussehen tut er auch, aber ohne Helm würde ich mich da auch nicht rein setzen

Die Streben im vorderen Bereich müssen, zumindest bei uns, mit Schaumstoff ummantelt sein.
Wenn dann noch Rennsitze mit 4 oder 5-Punkt-Gurten verbaut sind, kommt man mit dem Kopf
normalerweise nicht an die Streben. Aber viel Platz zwischen Kopf und Käfig bleibt tatsächlich nicht.

Finally time for a update (Note: HUGE!) after our easter holiday.. Or can we call it holiday when you`re working on the Supra 24/7?

To reach the underbody of the car 100% for the paint, the rear axle and front steering system had to be removed. They will be stripped down and Ikeya and Whiteline parts will replace the OEM parts. The Ikeya Formula parts are pictured a few pages back.











And here are Raymond removing the last from the front unit.



Next project was to clean and prime the area around where the rear axle unit had been. Here`s some more pics of the whole underbody. The rest was primed before this.

I`m sorry, haven`t posted pics of the finished roll cage yet, but here it is. We decided to remove on of the bars in the back side of the door opening to make it better to get in and out.

Now to the job that took long time, a couple of days actually. We decided to lower the seats, and to make that happen we had to remove and replace parts to the underbody. The seats came some place around 4 cm lower.

And the finished job.















Here are the bars for the seats mounted, ready to mount the seats when the car is painted inside. This was a lot of work with first removing and weld in place new plates and then making some "tracks" for the bar on the floor.

The last update today is the paint under the car. It`s dark grey with a layer of clearcoat. We think the color came out well, and will fit the carbon-fiber very well. The car will be painted in this color both inside and in the engine bay.

That was all for now, next up will be paint inside and the fun part starts very soon with mounting the car together to a car again. It`s a little bit strange to see what it looks like today and thinking it was a Supra.. Now it`s just a shell..

da kommen wir wieder zum thema: was mach ich ich mit meiner zeit, wenn ich auf droge bin und zu viel geld besitze!

So kann man´s auch sehen.

Ich hätte auch weder Zeit noch Lust da so viel rin zustecken.

Aber ich find´s treotzdem absolut toll, dass es Leute gibt, die alles so extrem angehen.

ich wäre jemand der soetwas machen würde wenns nicht am geld scheitern würde.....
